Good Morning

Well must tell you about my trip to Las Vegas with my niece, Hannah.

Hannah won tickets to see The Tenors (formerly Canadian Tenors) at the Smith Center in Las Vegas however, the win did not come with airfare or hotel so that is where Aunt Lynne came in.  I called her to say that, if on her parents' approval, I would take her.  Well, excitement ensued and we both patiently (hahaha) waited for the 3rd of August to arrive.  Once on the plane we both realized it was happening...and we were off to Vegas for three nights and four days.  Let me breakdown the days:

Friday, August 3 -- arrival at Las Vegas Airport about 11:15 p.m. -- check-in at the Golden Nugget at about 12:15 a.m. -- room service of chicken fingers and nachos -- bed

Saturday, August 4 -- up at 9:01 a.m. -- taxi to Smith Center to pick up tickets -- shopping til' we dropped :) as the South Premium Outlet Mall -- back to hotel -- feet up for about 45 minutes then down to the Chart House for dinner -- taxi to the Strip, watched the Bellagio Fountains dance to Viva Las Vegas by Elvis Presley, walked and walked some more -- taxi back to the hotel -- off to bed

Sunday, August 5 -- hair appointment for me at 10:00 a.m. -- met Hannah for breakfast at Carson Cafe for breakfast -- dressed for show -- taxi to the Smith Center and ... we went to our seats only to discover we were in the front row -- to sum it all up the PBS airing (to be broadcast in December 2012) was amazing!!!  we were entertained by not only the Tenors but also Natalie Grant, the Las Vegas Gospel Choir and more -  blessed!! with such wonderful talent -- back to hotel and dinner at Vic and Anthony's Fine Dining Restaurant -- walked

Monday, August 6 -- up at about 8:30 a.m. -- dressed and off to the famous Buffet at the hotel -- wow, excellent choices! -- back to room for final packing -- check-out and storage of suitcases -- off to a day of shopping at Viva Las Vegas Stamps,  stopped for a picture of the Pawn Stars shop (for my husband), shopping at the North Premium Outlet Mall, and shopping at the World's Largest Souvenir Shop -- back to the hotel where we relaxed a bit with a cold drink as we people watched :) -- dinner at Lillie Asian Cuisine where we were entertained at the habachi grill -- walked around the hotel -- got our luggage and waited for our ride to the airport for our homeward bound trip.

Amazing and so blessed for many reasons but at the top of the list was the time I spent with my beautiful niece, Hannah!!!!

Now to make a couple of scrapbooks ...
