Had a most fantastic weekend past weekend with my girlfriends and other scrapping crazy ladies...it was awesome.

It has been a very busy couple of weeks around our house - one of the many things that we did was get a puppy. Her name is Jane (short for Janus "Greek Godess of New Beginnings), and she is a real little cutie. Here is a picture of her in her daytime bed. As any of you who have or had a puppy they certainly do take a lot of your time with training, etc.
This Saturday I will be leaving my precious little one in my husband's care while I attend a scrapbooking day with friends. At which time, I will be able to 'catch up' on all the cards that have been put on the back burner.
Wishing all a great day and a wonderful Friday as I'm not too sure if I will be able to post as have vet visit and a bath to give--wish me a) that she loves her vet; and b) she loves me giving her a bath :)

Fun with Friends

Had a great time yesterday scapbooking and cardmaking with friends.

Hubby has gone away for a couple of day so I thought it would be great to invite friends over and have a fun day of creating. All of you know what I'm talking about when I say...you should see my basement!!!!! I will definitely have to clean that up before hubby gets home :)

I made this card for my a couple who celebrated their 60th diamond wedding anniversary yesterday.

Now I'm busy making bookmarks for my students as school starts in a couple of weeks and thought it would be a nice treat for them the first day. So today I will be finishing them, and I must start on a couple more cards on my list. Am I the only one who definitely needs to make a list of cards to create for occasions. I find that if I don't boy, am I in a pickle as then I'm scambling and when I do that the creative juices don't seem to want to flow...ugh!

Anyway, must get back to the creating so will sign off for now but before I do, let me wish all of you a very blessed Sunday.

Happy Wednesday

Just got back from a fabulous trip to US with my nephews (ages 14 and 12.)
Two days at Hershey, PA and the boys just loved everything about Hershey Park. While they enjoyed the many roller coaster rides, I was able to sit on a bench under a tree which provided me with some shade :). Purchases from the Chocolate World was done by all -- some eaten immediately (mmmmmm mmmmm good!)
Four days were spend with my Aunt and Uncle (their Great Aunt & Uncle) and from there were enjoyed a bus trip to New York city which left the boys very impressed especially with Time Square, a day of visiting one of the many huge Amish buffets followed by the theatrical production of "In the Beginning" at the Sight and Sound Theatre, and a day shopping at the VF Outlet in Reading.
Our final night was spent in Erie, PA where we did a bit of final shopping before crossing the border on Monday.
As you can guess, I have many pictures to view and have decided to make the boys a scrapbook each of this adventure. My dear friend Shannon has kindly offered her assistance as I will definitely need it :)
Today, is a day of laundry and hopefully a card or two (if successful, I will post it a little later) to complete the day.
It is good to be home :)

Welcome to the first ever official Anni-VERVE-sary Blog Hop. Verve turns two today and we’re celebrating with a hop, hop, hop! The party kicked off over on the Verve blog, so if you’ve just happened along, be sure to hop on over there to start from the beginning! And to make this party a real shindig, there’s a mystery jackpot hidden at one of the stops along the hop. One lucky commenter on that blog will win Verve’s entire August release! But of course, it wouldn’t be a mystery if you knew which blog, would it? So if you’re feeling the love, give a little shout out to the bloggers in the hop and you just might have a reason to jump for joy!
For my card I used Verve Beautiful You set of 13 for I loved all the sayings. I chose to use pirouette pink and a designer paper (I love) in browns with a touch of pink. The tag has chocolate chip as its base, then pirouette pink and the top layer is a piece of the designer paper with the 'Beautiful You' stamped thereon and attached with a matching brad.

Thanks for stopping by! Now it’s time to hop on over to beautiful Stephanie's Blog at http://handkraftedbystephanie.blogspot.com/, for a little more Verve-y goodness.

Fun Day

Just had an absolutely wonderful day creating with friends and making some, if I must say so myself, beautiful cards. The company was awesome (as usual) and each of us were very motivated and successful in creating -- some faster than others but not names are to be mentioned...you know who you are :)

My day consisted of finishing my many 1/2 done cards which have been sitting around my craft room for some time now. With my plan in place, I was (to my surprise) quite successful.

Tonight is just going to be a relaxing evening, in front of the television with my knitting in hand.
So, with that being said -- wishing all a wonderful evening.

Rainy Thursday

Well, woke to a rainy day...flowers and trees are loving it however, my body is complaining about it.
That being said, I took an Aleve, drank a cup of coffee, and now I think I shall make some cards. I have got a pile of half made ones sitting here in my craft room shouting at me ... sssh, can you hear them? They are getting pretty loud over there in the corner :) That being said, I will attend to them and post later.
All have a lovely day.

Busy Wednesday

Oops, where did Tuesday go...some days are just too busy with interruptions.

I have posted a couple of the cards made on Monday for your viewing pleasure. The one entitled Beautiful You has on it Heather Flower Soft. It was my first time using it, and I love it; what dimension it adds to a card. Definitely will be picking up more.

Like yesterday with the interruptions, today I have to go to the office and unpack boxes; carpets were ripped and a new tile floor was installed. That which I am so happy about! Who's to say how long that carpet had been there...maybe since the dinasours roamed the earth.

One more thing before I go, I would love if you would become a follower on my blog...please :)

Monday Play Day

Monday morning and today is a big card making day as I have six to make and send off by Wednesday.

Now let me tell you, I do have a box full of what I call generic cards. These I have previously made so that all I have to do is put a special message, i.e. Happy Birthday on them and mail. However, wild and crazy me just has to make something special for family and friends.
Tomorrow I will post at least one of my newest creations.

Bye for now and wishing all a beginning of a happy work week.

P.S. Before I go I previously promised you a view of my nephew's graduation card...here it is....

Clean up Day

Looking around my craft room all I see is a "mess" which I do believe is time to clean up. So, without a doubt, today has to be the day.
You see I have stamp sets that I haven't used in about a year so need to separate them, make a list., and price them for sale.
Also, paper, enough to wallpaper the whole house and a friends :) If I buy anymore paper...
As any of you know, the minute I have these good intentions I will no doubt make a card or two along the way...so, until later,

Rainy Thursday

Good Morning to All

I didn't get on yesterday as it was Canada Day and spent a quality day with my husband.

Today I woke up to rain and a lot of aches and pains so hopefully they will ease as the day progresses.

However, it is a perfect day to stay indoors and create...oh yeah! I am having to do a birthday card for my brother who turns the big 50 on July 4 so...what to do...what to do! I want it to be something special :)

In the meantime, I think I shall reach for a cup of coffee, a pain killer, and a spot on my chesterfield and rest for awhile before I start.

Wishing all a great day!

Just a few cards that I have made and finally got posted :)

What a beautiful day that our...

Lord has made! Let us rejoice!

Was up bright and early this morning and off with hubby to pick up a key. Once that was done he took me to breakfast a local restaurant where I ordered eggs benedict, without the sauce, which was delicious.

Have a couple of errands to run myself this morning and then, this afternoon, I will be making a very special card for my very special Aunt who turns 80 at the end of May. Knowing me, I will probably make a few before I get just the right one :)

Wishing all a very delicious day!

Beautiful Day

Well here it is Wednesday already, and I really haven't done too much since my last posting. I have, although, been busy with end of the semester stuff. I will be glad when it is all finalized then I can start to enjoy my spring/summer off. Now, by the word "off" I just mean that I can tackle the many tasks that I have left undone for too long now.

My first task will be to get rid of the old desktop computer and monitor that is taking up oodles of space on my table. This was I can use it for my card making accessories and it will give me a larger space onto which I can create.

My second task is to then rearrange my craft space to make it more compatable and user friendly.

My third task is to start playing...yahoo!!!!! This will be the fun part and not really a "task" per say.

Well, better sign off now so I can start to plan my day.

Take care all and have a great day.

Wow, just can't believe that more than 2 weeks have passed since my last up-date; work sure does interfere with one's hobbies.
Have been so busy with marking papers, creating and marking tests, etc. that time has just flowing by! Oh wait, I do see light at the end of this long tunnel...it is called the "end of the semester"and it will be this Friday--yahoo!!!!
Today, I am busy baking a birthday cake for my hubby who turns 65. Am not a baker but willing to give it a try ;) The challenging part is that he dislikes a butter icing so will have to make a sugar one...hope he likes it.
Wishing all a great day.

Wow, I just had an amazing day with Go Scrapping's Day Crop here in Barrie. It was wonderful to see Karen and hear all about what exciting things she has been up too; she is just awesome!

At our table, there was never a quiet moment as we had some witty and quality table talk :-) During our fun time beautiful creations were completed; Karen, June, and Cindy produced some amazing cards and Shannon did some amazing pages for her daughters scrapbook.

Of course, 8 p.m. arrived all too early and we departed our ways with new friendships and the knowledge that there will be another one possibly in the fall.

Tomorrow, I shall put up a couple of pics of cards made but until then, this weary but very content stamper is saying "Good Night."

March 28

Not only is March 28 "Earth" day but also it is a Go Scrapping Day Retreat here in Barrie. I am so looking forward to the day with my fellow SIS (sisters in stamping/scrapbooking.) It is amazing to watch the creative juices flowing when we all get together.

If you are going, do stop by and say "Hello"

On a Moments Notice..

Just one of my many creations. My sister-in-law called and voila.

Can't believe I did that...

...I started a blog; oh my! Can you believe it, I haven't even decided what to do with the blog or even what to use it for however, that will come, at least I hope it does.

I guess the main reason is that I love card making and thought how wonderful it would be to connect to others, with the same passion. I find card making a great stress release for me after my hours of teaching, prepping and marking. What about you?
